It takes doing something twice to make it a tradition, right?

Last year, our fabulous friends invited us to attend church and a post-service barbecue at their home. They heated up the pool, and we made our own adjacent Bluey moment – Easter Swim!
This year, we decided to keep a good thing going. Another church meetup, followed by Easter Swim!, Josh’s amazing cooking, Jen’s rice that has no recipe because she and her sister listen to their ancestors, and more good times than you can shake a Cascarón at.
I was tasked with bringing the fruit for 6 tiny (and not-so-tiny-anymore) humans and 6 adults.

Everyone loves Mindy Kaling. If you don’t love Mindy Kaling, you don’t know her, which is your loss, or you’re struggling with your internal biases, which could certainly include jealousy, and I encourage you to speak with your therapist about that.
I was delighted to see Dr. Lahiri as our second guest on With Love, and y’all know I can’t resist a theme party, so the entire episode was a treat for me.
Let me please be clear – The. Privilege. of being able to buy this much fruit. This was my only ask by my gracious hosts, I had the motivation to make this specific plate, so it worked out for this instance.
I’ve been quite lucky thus far in my creations to have either already had most products or have been able to source them quite cheaply. She is a social worker, after all. All of this is restorative for me, and also, I can’t be breaking the bank.
To get your most fabulous Rainbow Fruit Tray, you’ll need all the colors of the rainbow and a gorgeous, large tray to support it.

But you can also make an adorable, tiny plate for your little ones with just as many colors as you have. Your Fruit Tray Rainbow doesn’t have to have ROYGB!
However you do it, I do encourage you to do it. It’s so fun, and even better when you can get the little ones in on the creation fun!
